Vermont Health Department Revises Policy on Out of State Visitors
Effective February 23, non-Vermont residents who have been vaccinated with two shots and who have quarantined for 14 days thereafter, may come to and from Vermont. In addition, if people who have done this are exposed to someone who tests positive for Covid- they will not be required to quarantine again to enter Vermont.
We hope this will enable more of our out of state supporters to have fun skiing at Prospect.
Cross State Travel has been eased for border town to Vermont
Good news for our neighbors in Williamstown, the Vermont Health Department has eased travel restrictions for neighboring towns. A border town is considered a town that is within 5 miles of the Vermont border. Quarantine will no longer be necessary if you travel into Vermont from these towns. You must continue to follow the COVID-19 prevention measures, including wearing a mask and staying at least 6 feet from away people you don’t live with, when you are in a border town in Vermont or in a neighboring state.
Our ski and snowshoe trails will be open this year as soon as the weather permits. The Lodge will be closed, other than the bathrooms for single occupancy. We ask that no bags be brought in or changing take place in the bathrooms. MASKS REQUIRED. We will have a takeout window off the deck in the rear of the Lodge for day passes, rentals, and food. Picnic tables will be available there as well as next to “Nancy’s Nook”.
“Nancy’s Nook” and “Bucky’s” Wax Room will be closed initially this year.
The Ticket Office will have a takeout window for day passes. The Ticket Office will also be open Thursday through Sunday for a maximum of 4 people, a single family pod, or a single car travel group for day passes and rentals. MASKS REQUIRED.
Day passes and rentals can also be purchased online. We ask that you present your receipt/proof of purchase at the Lodge takeout window, or at the Ticket Office takeout window Thursday through Sunday to pick up your ticket.
In spite of the challenges all of us face, we are looking forward to a great season of skiing and snowshoeing and hope that you can be a part of it.
We ask that all visitors visit the VT Cross State Travel Information before you arrive to be sure that you are abiding by the rules of the State of Vermont before visiting Prospect.
